Hello class, my group topic is E-mails. So far we have constructed a PowerPoint which is almost complete. The PowerPoint was put onto a Google Drive account so it could be assessed by all group members at the same time. Now we must go back and edit the PowerPoint to make sure everything we need is there. Once the PowerPoint is complete we will then work on the presentation aspect and figure out who is going to say what and all those details. So far we have had good progress.

Hello class,

For my project on writing instructions, I will be writing them on "how to tie your shoe laces." Learning how to tie your shoes is learned at a young age. So this is something I first learned a long time ago. I do not wear shoes with laces very often, but I am good at tying my sneakers. I figured this would be cool to write about to kind of touch back on a childhood experience.

snow day

Hello Class, hope everyone is enjoying their snow day! This week’s book reading was on the design of documents. I actually enjoy reading the chapters, they are easy to read and understand. I have just about three hours in between my first class and Technical Writing. That is my designated time to go over to the library and read the week’s assigned reading, and take notes. So before Tuesday’s class I did just that. I found the chapter to be really helpful in not only being able to design a technical document in the future, but to writing about the design. I had some things I needed to revise for my paper, length and more information of the design. This chapter helped me be able to do just that. How perfect! Well everyone drive safe, and I shall see you all tomorrow.

Hello fellow technical writers, this is Jessica. For my technical document of choice, I have chosen my most recent Verizon Wireless phone bill. I have had Verizon as a cell phone carrier for the past six years, since I was 17. I was very angry when I got this bill, as it was about $26.00 more than I pay every month. I had made no changes to my plan what so ever. I had recently been thinking about switching to T Mobile to save some money, and join a family plan with my boyfriend. After receiving this high bill I decided it was time. I took T Mobile up on their current promotion of paying your cancellation fee from your current carrier. I got a brand new phone today and made the switch. I thought it may be enjoyable to analyze this bill that had made me so mad. So I shall see how that will go.
